You will be joining an experienced team of fellow professionals who work hard to support each other and deliver exceptional care to our clients.
Our vibrant services in Wigan and Leigh provide support to people concerned about their own or someone else's alcohol or drug use. We have services in both Wigan and Leigh but much of our work is carried out in the local communities we serve.
We are committed to reducing harm and raising awareness of the complex issues surrounding substance misuse. These roles will focus on offering training and brief interventions to individuals, groups, communities and organisations.

As a Prevention and Engagement Worker, you will be working in close partnership with other health care professionals, partner agencies, service commissioners, and internal clinical/mental health teams to ensure that our clients receive prompt advice and treatment.
A key element of the role will be to assist in the delivery of an integrated service by completing assessments, recovery plans, referrals, support, care coordination and appropriate interventions (e.g. psychosocial, pharmacotherapy, harm reduction).
You’ll also be able to confidently and expertly assess WithYou clients, carrying out triage and comprehensive assessment, as required and making appropriate onward referrals to specialist agencies.
Required Skills
Evidence of continuous professional development OCN/NVQ level 3 orequivalent or willing to achieve this within 12 months Demonstrable experience of working in the health, social care, criminal justice or other specialist setting Successful track record ofworking with substance misuse service users Knowledge and understanding of health and safety, including assessing high-risk situations for service users Knowledge and understanding of group Working: - Assessment, care planning and key working- Harm reduction
