We employ over 50 people and have around 80 volunteers who help us to deliver information and signposting and generalist and specialist advice, undertake campaigning, and have a thriving portfolio of projects embedded within the local community. We are a flagship Local Citizens Advice within a nationally recognised network, delivering a multi-channel service including, face to face, telephone and digital channels. 

About the role

We are recruiting for an Energy Adviser to support clients through the difficult Autum and Winter months.

Local need for our service is high and we predict that demand will increase as the months get colder. We are looking for someone keen to make the role their own - getting stuck into supporting the local community, working towards targets, keeping excellent client records, supporting our energy outreach work and becoming our resident expert for energy advice.

Our dedicated Adviser or Trainee Adviser will be the first point of contact for energy related information and advice, delivering energy advice with clients on a one to one basis, supporting them to make their energy bills more affordable. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and awareness and experience of wider welfare benefits issues too. This role is suitable for existing advisers or an experienced Assessor looking for a development role.
