About Us:
At Steris AST we are the trusted experts in technology-neutral sterilization services including radiation and gas modalities.
We offer electron beam, gamma, X-ray, ethylene oxide and vaporized hydrogen peroxide technologies for the purpose of product sterilization. Whether that product be a single use medical device, consumables in a hospital environment, cosmetics and toiletries, or industrial products, we make sure everything that makes its way to an end user is safe for use or consumption.
The role
What you will do:
The Lead Maintenance Engineer is an essential role in supporting the processing facility, allowing customer supplied medical products to be processed in a timely manner. The Lead Maintenance Engineer will have a sound knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems and have some level of PLC/SCADA experience. Experience of working within a manufacturing environment is preferable. This is a wide and varied role, touching on Safety, Quality, Visual management standards, and sustainability. Duties include but are not limited to:
Required Experience
Planning & coordination of all planned/unplanned maintenance/calibration activities (to include maintenance shutdowns). Ensuring necessary parts and equipment, contractors and STERIS staffing levels are available to complete the works safely, in a timely manner and to the required standard. Plan daily workload and tasks for maintenance engineers ensuring all tasks are monitored Have strong stakeholder management and communication skills to lead and deliver plant operation improvements in-line with Operational Effectiveness Targets. Participate in all site management meetings, health & safety meetings, regulatory meetings (as required) taking a lead on engineering topics / improvements etc. Leads the development of the planned preventative maintenance strategy to deliver targeted improvement. Specifications/Installation and Operational Qualification documents as part of the project plan, review, trend and present plant failure modes to generate areas for CAPEX investment. Ensure stock levels of high usage and critical spares are maintained, manages the maintenance budget to ensure costs are controlled.STERIS is a leading global provider of products and services that support patient care with an emphasis on infection prevention.
