Our Client is looking for experienced Engineers for their Food Production Plant near Doncaster on a Permanent Basis. Our client is in a period of growth and expansion.
Hours or Work; Working on a rota basis (rotates alternate weeks), Monday to Friday 5.30am – 2:30pm or 2:30pm – 11:30pm.
As a Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for engineering repair, corrective and planned preventative maintenance across the site working as part of the engineering team.
Main duties include:
Manage your own workload and ensure that work is completed to the standard required and any work outstanding is continued by the following shift.
Complete the work that comes from Audits, Work Requests and PPM follow ups.
Ensure you apply Health and Safety and Food Safety standards to all work undertaken.
Support all staff within your team and ensure targets/KPI’s are achieved.
Manage Health and Safety of external contractors on site when required and ensure those areas are clean and tidy upon completion.
Ensure all machinery/equipment meets site standards and all sub conditions are dealt with or escalated accordingly.
Control and manage the ordering and quantity of engineering spares to ensure effective stock levels.
Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across all engineering areas.
Communicate effectively across all levels of management and all departments in relation to any engineering activities and breakdowns.
Candidate requirements:
Qualifications: Completion of a 4-year approved technical training program with a Minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in mechanical/electrical repair and maintenance and 2 years electrical/mechanical experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved including third and fourth year apprentices
Experience:
An experienced Engineer with a minimum of 5 years’ experience within a similar role.
Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Knowledge:
Have a solid understanding of operation/function and repair of all machinery on site and plant and associated equipment.
Skills:
Excellent Organisational skills
Good problem-solving abilities
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to take direction
Ability to work well in a team
Ability to challenge others in a professional and constructive manner
Knowledge and experience in a food manufacturing environment an advantage, but not essential
Understanding of Environmental requirements and responsibilities
Knowledge and experience of Pirana (desirable)
Salary in the region of £37k
Subsidised canteen and benefits on site.
Candidates must have British Passport and or a Share Code RTW in the UK client will not offer sponsorship from abroad for this role
