Family Court Advisor

Your new company 
We are currently recruiting Qualified Social Workers to work within CAFCASS' Cardiff, Newport and Merthyr branches. The roles will run on an initial 6-month contract with the possibility to extend. As part of the CAFCASS team, you will be involved in private law matters, working to safeguard children, usually involving disagreements between parents about the best arrangements for their children. All staff are well-supported to ensure that they can work in an environment that is conductive to achieving the best outcomes for families and children.

Your new role 
You will have the chance to work primarily from home, but will be expected to travel to the office for meetings and travel to the family courts within the area. It is a full-time position, working for £38 per hour (umbrella). Providing advanced social work and completing safeguarding enquiry reports will be a part of your regular workload, and you will be conducting enquiries in accordance with relevant legislation.

What you'll need to succeed 
To be successful in this role, a degree in Social Work is essential, along with a full Uk driving licence and being registered with Social Care Wales. You will also need to have experience with children's services and safeguarding experience is desirable. It is important that you are a dedicated and independent worker, who is also approachable and friendly to be able to work with service users and other colleagues.
