Job Description

Job Purpose

This role is part of our content and creative team responsible for writing the high-quality content that underpins marketing activity across Evelyn Partners and Bestinvest.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing ideas for content and campaign activity in partnership with other members of the content team (designers)
  • Writing content that underpins marketing activity, including guides, articles, emails, web pages, PPC ads and social media as well as scripts and ideas for video content
  • Ensuring the content is fully optimised for search
  • Working with content from the development of ideas through to completion
  • Ensuring content is completed to a high standard and delivered on time
  • Ensuring content adheres to financial promotions regulations and that all governance procedures are followed
  • Content analytics: reporting back to the business on content performance

Qualifications

Key Skills and Experience

  • Good understanding of consumers and an ability to see beyond industry jargon to meet the requirements of the Consumer Duty
  • Relevant  experience in similar roles
  • Hands on experience of working with financial content
  • Proven ability to create compelling and accurate content across different formats
  • Ability to generate new ideas with the creativity and bravery to suggest new and different ways of working
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to build lasting relationships with key stakeholders
  • Proven experience of keyword research and SEO
  • Proven experience of using SEO tools such as SEMRUSH
  • Knowledge/experience of content design desirable but not essential

 

Key Competencies

  • An excellent, versatile content writer and generator of creative ideas
  • Consumer insight – incessantly curious about people with an ability to get under the skin of our audiences (wealth management prospects and investors), what they care about and what content will engage them
  • Fluent in finances – you’ll need to know an ISA from an ETF and be able to move between writing at a relativel;y technical level and an extremely consumer friendly level depending on the audience
  • Exceptional grammar skills
  • Fanatical attention to detail
  • Ability to follow a brief
  • Skilled at juggling multiple tasks, working under pressure and getting things finished
  • A team player – who can build relationships with stakeholders across the business
  • A self-starter able to manage own workload
