TheRole

Development of seasonallyrelevant inline and SMU apparel collections which align to thecommercial brief and lineplan whilst implementing the creativedirection. Understands and adheres to key dates and gates so thatorders can be placed ontime and according to the seasonalcalendar.

Responsibilities

Developproducts from initial tech pack stage through to final bulkproduction buyready ensuring quality fit testing and price targetsare met and the product is fit forpurpose.

Manages the successful completion ofdelivery priorities within allocated collections as per thecritical path identifying potential challenges and delays raisingawareness with line manager.

Be involved withseasonal product costing process be aware of FOB prices andbusiness margin targets.

Supports Developer andSenior Developer working with the designers and materials team onthe most appropriate fabrics trims fit and construction selectionto ensure end products are fit for purpose and engineered tomaximise efficiency both technically and from a costperspective.

Meets output of work requestswithin the critical path framework raise delay concerns to lineManager and developers in a timely manner ensuring impact todelivery can be minimised.

Build and maintain anunderstanding of the supply base gathering awareness through thebroader team.

Develop and foster effectiveworking relationships with suppliers.

Maintainthe line plan to ensure all target prices are received and workwith the Senior Product developer to ensure that they are adheredto.

Ensure accuracy of tech packs enabling easyunderstanding by the factories.

All stylingdetails are to be added to the tech pack graded and point ofmeasures diagrams correct and updated at all times ensuring asmooth process so that measurements are clear at all stagesincluding development/ proto SMS/ presentation size sets ifrequested Preproduction samples shipment samples and AQLinspection.

Understand the fabrics used in theproducts allocated approving bulk fabrics and testing withassistance from the materials team and Senior productdeveloper.

Review all sampling stages to ensurefit is in line with Castore standards working with the fit andblock manager.

Approval of all care instructionsin line with CP dates.

Have an awareness ofwearer trials and testing to ensure that the product is fit forpurpose for the end user and professional.

Workwith wider team to find solutions to manufacturing issues duringthe production process keeping Senior product developer up to datebefore approving the AQL to allowshipment.

Discuss any inbound quality concernswith the Senior Product developer to arrange next steps with DCTechnical lead.

Builds knowledge on specificsport calendars and governing body regulations to improve ones ownunderstanding of product requirements restrictions and deliverytimings.

Provides cross category support whererequired with timely communication of sample trim lab dip commentsto ensure on time buyready and shipment sign off to critical pathexpectations

Be a role model maintaining apositive attitude and supporting the broaderteam.

Contribute to protection of Castoresintellectual property.

Complete any adhoc tasksas required by your linemanager.

Skills& Qualities

Skills andExperience:

Experience of a similar productdevelopment or garment tech role

Bachelors degreepreferably in textile/fashion.

Ability to workcrossfunctionally liaising with peer groups across the business todrive efficiencies and results.

Ability to workwithin strict deadlines and able to be adaptive tochanges.

Comfortable in a fastpaced andeverchanging business environment.

Excellentplanning and organisation skills.
