The Global Operations Control Centre (GOCC) is responsible for the monitoring and operation of Rentokil Initial’s physical and virtual IT infrastructure, network services and application hosting, within our global hosting facilities, offices and branches. The GOCC is responsible for the analysis, investigation and resolution of global infrastructure incidents and problems.

Tasks:

● Operates and manages storage and Virtual (VMware) infrastructure to underpin the delivery of the hosted services

● Monitor the estate and ensure proactive measures are taken to ensure high availability of services

● Carry out incident management using the Service Now tool

● Installs or removes hardware and/or software, and associated connections, using supplied installation instructions and tools. Document results in accordance with agreed procedures.

● Contributes, as required, to investigations of problems and faults concerning the installation of hardware and/or software and confirms the correct working of installations.

● Uses system management software and tools to collect agreed performance statistics. Carries out agreed system software maintenance tasks.

● Carries out agreed operational procedures, including network configuration, installation and maintenance.

● Uses network management tools to collect and report on network load and performance statistics.

Requirements

Experience working in at least one of the following scenarios:-

● 1 year minimum experience working in an IT NOC or similar IT operations support role

● Basic knowledge of one or more of the following products/solutions:

- Hypervisor - VMware vSphere

- Storage - vSAN

- Recovery Services - Veeam and Zerto

- Platforms - Windows Server and Linux Red Hat

- End User Compute - Citrix XenApp

- Networking Fundamentals - Cisco Technologies (Switches, Firewalls or Routers), SD-WAN, Aruba Networks

Skills required:

Able to operate in a busy Global Infrastructure Operations environment. Awareness of ITIL service management framework. Able to manage high priority (P1/P2) incidents impacting business operations (and potentially revenue). Operate within Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to manage incidents. Process oriented, perform duties as described following operating procedures. Understands business priorities and the importance of relevant availability of business services. Demonstrates a rational and organised approach to work. A proven background demonstrating the ability to troubleshoot complex IT issues.
