We are expanding our ClinicalPharmacist team with roles for AfC Band 7 equivalent andBand 8a equivalent roles (Band 8a equivalent for an Advanced Pharmacist Practitioner with previousGeneral Practice experience, independent prescribing and further specialistpractitioner qualifications).
Main duties of the job
As detailed above, we are looking to grow and develop our Clinical Pharmacy team, and invite applications from pharmacists at varying points in their careers, whether you are new to Primary Care or an experienced General Practice Clinical Pharmacist.
The role will include direct patient contact with assessment andadvice on newly presenting conditions and chronic disease management, clinical medication reviews, leadership on medicines optimisation and clinical audit, dischargemedication reviews and supporting patients with complex polypharmacy. TheClinical Pharmacist will provide expert clinicalmedicines advice to both patients and staff within the practice.
The successful candidate will ideally be independentprescriber or keen to work towards this qualification. Experience of working in aprimary care setting would be advantageous, however full training, development and support will be provided to the successful candidates.
The Clinical Pharmacist needs to have excellent interpersonal/communication skills and be able to workindependently as well as part of our team.

BMC is housed in modern, purpose-built premises, caringfor a diverse patient population of over 45,000 patients across 4 sites. Wehave a very experienced and highly skilled clinical team of Doctors, ACPs, Practice Nurses, Paramedics, HCAs with 5 Clinical Pharmacists and 4 Pharmacy Technicians.
Boroughbury Medical Centre is a modern day GP practice situatedin the heart of the City of Peterborough with further bases in Paston and Werrington.
