As a Technical Traffic Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive technical, traffic and safety training programs to colleagues across the business and externally. This role requires extensive and frequent travel and overnight stays.

Your principle accountabilities will be:-

Training Delivery: Conduct engaging and effective technical and safety training sessions for new and existing employees and external customers.

Content Development: Collaborate with the training department to develop, update, and improve training materials, ensuring they are relevant, comprehensive, and aligned with industry standards and regulations.

Compliance and Safety: Ensure all training programs comply with relevant health and safety regulations and company policies. Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Assessment and Certification: Evaluate trainees' understanding and performance through assessments, practical demonstrations, and certification processes. Provide constructive feedback and additional training as needed.

Support and Mentorship: Act as a mentor and resource for colleagues, providing ongoing support and guidance to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate training records, including attendance, assessment results, and certification statuses. Prepare regular reports on training activities and outcomes.

Travel: Travel across the UK to deliver on-site training sessions at various locations on a weekly basis, adapting to the specific needs and conditions of each site.

To succeed as a Trainer you will bring the following skill-set and behaviours:

Required Certificates/Qualifications

AET3 – Level 3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent Assessor Qualification TTMBC, T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T6, T7 12d 12ab & 12c practical competencies Approved Trainer and Assessor for Lantra and City and Guilds

Desirable Certificates/Qualifications (if not held must be willing to obtain)

Internal Quality Assurance First Aid (training will be given if not qualified) NPORS Loader Securer ALLMI Instructor IPAF Instructor

Required Experience/Knowledge

Traffic Management: Significant experience in street works and traffic management, ideally several years working within this sector and practical hands-on experience with traffic management on rural and urban roads, understanding both theoretical and practical aspects. Training Skills: Proven experience in delivering technical and safety training. Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of construction equipment, industry regulations, and safety standards. Technology Proficiency: Proficient in using Microsoft Office in particular PowerPoint and an LMS/Training Booking System.
