This is an exciting opportunity to manage the delivery of software projects during an exciting time of growth and optimisation. 

Purpose of the role:

An exciting opportunity has opened in the Project Management Office of a progressive and innovative technology firm. We are looking for a Scrum Master to guide and facilitate our software development teams in the delivery of advanced technology solutions. The Scrum Master will be pivotal in optimizing the effectiveness of the Scrum framework as applied to complex, high-impact projects within our organization.

As a Scrum Master, you will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Development Teams, and other stakeholders to ensure agile practices are properly adopted and implemented. Your role will ensure that our teams are highly functional, that roadblocks are swiftly removed, and that our agile processes are continuously refined and adhered to across projects.

Requirements:

Certified Scrum Master with a strong understanding of all aspects of the Scrum framework. Proven experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment. Strong familiarity with software development processes and lifecycle. Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. Ability to facilitate discussions and encourage open communication among team members. Experience with other Agile methodologies such as Kanban or Lean is a plus. Ability to coach teams and stakeholders in Agile practices and mindsets. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization. Proficiency in using Agile project management tools such as JIRA or Confluence.

Responsibilities

Act as a servant-leader for the Scrum Teams, facilitating Scrum events as necessary and ensuring overall team health. Coach team members in Agile frameworks and practices, ensuring a collaborative environment that fosters ownership and transparency. Engage with Product Owners to ensure that backlogs are groomed and ready for sprint planning. Remove impediments to the Scrum Team’s progress to facilitate maximal productivity and creativity. Facilitate effective sprint planning sessions, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospective meetings. Monitor project progress and performance, reporting insights and suggestions to management. Advocate for continuous improvement within the team, promoting better communication, collaboration, and processes. Mediate conflicts and challenges that arise during the sprint, providing tools for effective resolution. Support the team in maintaining their Scrum tools (., backlogs, project boards) to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of progress. Collaborate with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization.
