Job Description 

Step Teachers are working with a "Good" Ofsted rated Secondary School in the Tottenham area that are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher to join their team, on a Long-Term Supply basis. This school believes in developing young people into happy, high achieving and reflective learners. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Computer Science courses to students, fostering a deep understanding of key concepts and skills.

Computer Science Teacher - Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons that cater to a diverse range of student abilities and learning styles.
  • The Computer Science Teacher must create hands-on activities and projects that allow students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel empowered to explore and experiment with Computer Science concepts.
  • The Computer Science Teacher should provide constructive feedback and support to students as they work on coding assignments, projects, and assessments.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Computer Science across the curriculum and promote interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
  • The Computer Science Teacher must stay abreast of developments in the field of Computer Science education and incorporate innovative teaching methodologies into classroom practice.

Computer Science Teacher - Qualifications:

  • QTS or equivalent qualification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • Teaching certification or relevant experience in education.
  • Strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and software development principles.
  • Computer Science Teacher with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for inspiring a love of Computer Science in students of all backgrounds.
