GSL Education ‘Lincolnshire Branch’ are collaborating with an exceptional school in Lincoln and seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team. This position delivers a special chance to assist students' learning and growth in a supportive, welcoming environment.

The Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be instrumental in assisting students with their educational journey. You will work closely with classroom teachers to provide essential support, help prepare lesson materials and contribute to creating an engaging and supportive learning atmosphere.

Responsibilities of Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide tailored assistance to individual students or small groups to help them overcome learning challenges and achieve academic success.
  • Aid the teacher in lesson preparation, classroom management and the facilitation of effective lessons.
  • Assist in assessing and recording students' progress, providing valuable feedback to the teacher to inform instructional strategies.
  • Help maintain a supportive and encouraging classroom atmosphere that fosters student participation and confidence.
  • Collaborate extensively with instructors, parents and other staff members to develop and execute support strategies that are adapted to the unique requirements of each student

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent qualification.
  • May have prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational support role.
  • Be excellent in communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Flexibility to support students with varying needs and adapt to different classroom environments.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
