Clifton Medical Centre's list size is 5500. We have three GP Partners, Salaried GP, Specialist nurse, practice nurse, Clinical Pharmacists along with other admin team. Clifton Medical Centre has a branch site Victoria Health Centre based in Smethwick.

Job description

Job responsibilities

To provide day-to-day support, leadership, first line management and guidance for the practice Administration/Secretarial and Dispensary teams, ensuring a confidential, efficient and professional manner is maintained.

Ensure all Administration/Secretarial duties are completed to the highest standard.

Monitor staff and GP Partners attendance, sickness absence and annual leave.

Provide effective communications between patients, doctors and other staff.

Support in the recruitment and induction of all new staff.

Complete annual appraisals for members of the Administration/Secretarial and Dispensary, in line with the practice Appraisal Policy.

Work with Receptionist team to ensure cover and suitable contingency plans are in place for all leave, including unforeseen absence.

Support the Reception in the running of services within the practice compliance with CQC, Health and Safety audits etc.
