We are currently seeking an Deputy Head Teacher based at our SEN School in Congleton.

This school is a friendly and successful provision, currently supporting a number of vulnerable young children aged 7-18 years with special education needs. The school is also a base for our outreach services.

Qualified teacher status (QTS)Experience of teaching at key stages 4 and 5, ideally in a core subject (English, maths or science)Candidates who hold a relevant National Professional Qualification e.g. NPQSL, NPQLT or NPQLBC (or willingness to complete such a professional qualification) Demonstrable experience of implementing and maintaining safeguarding strategies at middle/senior levelProven experience of implementing school-wide assessment.Proven experience in school improvement. Subject specialism (maths and/or science would be desirable but we welcome applications from qualified teachers of all subjects) and a willingness to teach lessons during holiday/sickness coverSEND/SEMH experienceA willingness to act as a delegated authority in the absence of the HeadteacherA commitment to continued professional developmentA full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
