Year 5Teacher Responsibilities

As aYear 5 teacher you will be responsible for the pastoral care ofchildren taking their first steps in Key Stage 2 promoting teamworkand cultivating a conducive learningenvironment.

Teaching the Key Stage 2 curriculumto groups of children while also focusing on each individual childslearning targets encouraging their strengths and improving theirweaknesses

Keeping track of childrens progressand occasionally reporting back toparents

Year 5Teacher Requirements

A qualifiedteacher status (QTS) PGCE or equivalent

Experience in teaching Year 5 students

A proventrack record of delivering highquality lessons and achievingexcellent academic results

A strongunderstanding of the national curriculum and assessmentmethodologies

Excellent communicationinterpersonal and organizational skills

Patienceresilience and a passion for teaching

Awillingness to work collaboratively withcolleagues
