A Senior Commercial Manager is responsible for the financial management of a major, complex project(s) or a number of projects from inception, tendering, negotiating and agreeing contracts and then commercially delivering Projects often worth many hundreds of millions of pounds.
They will have proven skills in commercial awareness, client liaison, project management and team leadership.

What you'll be doing
Be responsible for the financial management of multi-million projects from inception, tendering and contract negotiation, through to deliveryA Be part of a massive organisation thats in the unique position to offer ongoing opportunities to gain more exposure and experience throughout your career across different sectors and landmark projectsA Build up our commercial teams so that they continue developing their skills too Be a high profile figure on projects, overseeing everything from risk management and financial reporting to the management of an extensive supply chain Support our focus on finding ever-more innovative digital solutions Continue building your professional networks inside and outside our organisationA Collaborate with and support other experts throughout Balfour Beatty Nurture a warm culture that feels like family. Senior Commercial managers are very experienced individuals who have risen through the ranks of the industry and their role is broad and includes anything from risk management to procurement, financial reporting and managing the supply chain. You will have proven skills in commercial awareness, client liaison, project management and team leadership. You will also have an extensive understanding of the construction industry, flexibility and a talent for negotiation.Typically you will have a track record of managing and developing a commercial team and be themselves a Chartered Member or Fellow of the RICS, ICES or CIOB, and a mentor/role model to other commercial staff on their journey to becoming professionally qualified.

BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or experience equivalent Member or Fellow of RICS, ICES or CIOBThe following qualities/experience are desirable:
