Job overview

We are looking for a talented and organised Physiotherapist. The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy, HCPC Registration, significant post graduate experience with demonstrable experience in related clinical field as well as proven post-graduate clinical and leadership competencies. You will also have excellent organisational skills and an ability to problem solve multiple issues within a fast-paced custodial context.

Once the prison is open you will be responsible for:

Development and delivery of high quality service within Physiotherapy - Assessment and management of complex patients Develop opportunities for practice which extends the scope of traditional Physiotherapy Training and support of Physiotherapists and support staff to deliver high quality, evidence based service provision Governance arrangements within physiotherapy

Please note that any offer of employment will be subject to the successful receipt of enhanced DBS and prison vetting clearances.

Main duties of the job

To take a clinical lead role in the assessment and treatment of patients where the caseload will comprise of mainly patients with highly complex presentations. This will be through highly specialist / extended scope clinical knowledge and application, audit, research and education. It will require liaison with a diverse number of multidisciplinary specialties and integrated working with other disciplines and agencies.

To work as an autonomous, clinical highly Specialist Physiotherapist. To work with the Advanced Practitioner therapist to develop and deliver a high quality clinical service. Leading by example; provide a high standard of specialist assessment and treatment of patients. Using evidence based principles / current best practice and advanced clinical skills and clinical reasoning assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
