Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, Band – Adults ( WTE)

We have an exciting new vacancy in BCUHB East Speech and Language Therapy adult team working days per week ( hours). You will work with adult inpatients in Wrexham Maelor hospital, with a particular focus on care of the elderly/frailty/medical wards but with opportunities in other service areas such as community outpatients in line with your clinical skills and interests. 

Main duties of the job

This is an opportunity for an experienced, dynamic and highly motivated Speech and Language Therapist. We are looking for a clinical specialist who can support and develop SLTs and TIs, represent SLT within the MDT and help to drive the future development of our inpatient services. For this key clinical role, we are looking for a passionate SLT with skills in clinical leadership including developing the skills and knowledge of others.

You will be part of the friendly and supportive BCUHB East Adult Speech and Language Therapy team where there is a wide range of expertise and experience. You will join a growing team of Speech and Language Therapists and technical instructors. There is excellent peer support and regular clinical supervision.

We have regular team meetings and have strong links with other specialist services. There are regular cross team CPD and training opportunities as you continue to develop your clinical skills. There is access to regular therapist-led and MDT clinics including Videofluoroscopy and FEES. You will lead a range of service improvements and MDT initiatives are encouraged.
