We support Trainliners in the UK and our offices in France Italy and Spain

Responsibilities

Reporting into our Senior People Operations Manager youll work on all things HR and payroll and be responsible for supporting employees across the business and helping to make Trainline a great place to work Youll provide high quality support in relation to both core HR and payroll processes and adhoc projects and quickly become an integral part of the team and wider business

Daytoday youll be responsible for:

Maintaining the records held in our HRIS HiBob ensuring accuracy and integrity at all timesWorking with your colleagues in the People Ops team to monitor our People Mailbox and Slackchannel providing Trainliners with a professional level of assistance and support around HR process and policy within our internal SLA time framesSupporting Trainlines onboarding and induction process including liaising with our PreBoarders and Recruiters to ensure that all Background and Right to Work checks are completed in a timely mannerProviding Trainliners with accurate and consistent support with regards to our policies practices and processesAccurately running and processing monthly UK payrollSupporting People BPs to manage our Absence Performance Management Salary Review Learning amp; Development and Employee Engagement processesCollaborate and support Head of Reward with any cyclical Reward processes including data sharing and employee commsWorking closely with our Accounts Payable team to handle and process invoices and POsImproving reviewing and implementing People policies and proceduresCreating and working with weeklymonthly reports to ensure that our people data is consistent and accurateChampion data metrics and insights and use HR data to enable the wider team to make valueadd decisionsWork and lead on Adhoc People Operations projects as required such as process changes and system improvements to enhance the employee experience and People Team processesCollaborate with our Finance Team and take the lead with support of colleagues on AuditsProvide first line support to People Advisor queriesQualifications

Were looking for a team player with a roll your sleeves up attitude A selfstarter with a helpful peopleorientated demeanour and a high degree of integrity and confidentiality someone itching expand upon their HR and payroll experience Superstrong organisation and interpersonal skills are essential and youll also bring the ability to work at pace and with agility

A HR qualification isnt necessary as long as you can demonstrate your interest in HR and show a comprehensive understanding of HR processes and policies well provide you with the necessary professional development to make you an HR superhero

We are also keen to have someone with some experience in processing payroll as we currently process this in the People Ops team with our OutSourced payroll provider Someone who is comfortable supporting employees and our Head of Tax on payroll related queries would be hugely beneficial

This is fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about HR keen to work in a fastmoving forwardthinking technology business and looking to develop their career

This is a role based in the UK but as we also support offices in France Spain and Italy so experience of working with employees in these countries would be helpful but is not essential

Required Skills:

Understanding of HR best practices and current regulationsExperience in processing payroll a working knowledge of payroll processes and calculations with a basic understanding in UK tax legislationExcellent judgment and problemsolving skillsStrong knowledge of the hiring process and Right to WorkVISA legislationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent attention to detail and strong numeracy skillsStrong organisational and time management skillsProficiency in MS Office suite; word excel powerpoint etc
