Senior Commissioning Officer

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Nottinghamshire to assist with the appointment of a Senior Commissioning Officer, on a 2-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £21.58 - £27.71 per hour
Hours Per Week :15.00
Responsibilities:
- To oversee programme work and ensure that it is delivered in accordance with the agreed project parameters.
- To provide support and guidance to operational staff in relation to commissioned services
- To build robust relationships with Providers including; Supporting the shaping of effective markets support, Negotiations in relation to pricing and fee rates
- To work co-productively with key partners and stakeholders including operational staff, health partners, providers and service users to identify opportunities for improvement.
- To identify opportunities for improvements in services provided by the department and to support implementation and evaluation of formally agreed change
- To identify, develop and implement savings options in line with agreed targets as part of commissioning activity
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years experience within strategic or operational commissioning or complex service improvement /development in a Local Authority, health or housing.
- Experience of delivering all key components of the commissioning cycle including analysis of complex information and reviewing services against commissioning priorities
- Knowledge and understanding of commissioning within the personalisation agenda.
- Experience of working co-productively
- Experience of working with a range of partners to identify service needs, options for delivery and measurable outcomes
- Involvement in the successful delivery of complex projects and/or the management of successful projects.
- Experience of working in partnership to deliver shared goals.

- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
- This role requires an basic DBS
