Role Overview

Time Out has embarked on a period of sustained growth as we invest heavily in our web, video, social and experiential platforms. We are creating a truly audience first, digital and experiential brand, something truly unique in the media landscape as we create a world leading destination for cultural exploration and unique experiences.

Central to our growth is our digital display proposition. This sits alongside our Creative Solutions arm of the business. We are searching for a driven sales person to take on a key role in mining digital display briefs and leading on Time Out’s response showcasing our broad range of digital products.

This role is about ensuring brands and agencies understand the benefits of working with Time Out and how we can get their assets in front of the right people. The role’s primary responsibility is to drive incremental revenue across key Display and Programmatic accounts. This role sits at the heart of Time Out; it is rewarding and involves creating and pitching digital proposals, seeking out new opportunities within agencies utilising data platforms, and working proactively with our editorial calendar to pitch opportunities that align with key cultural moments. It’s a real opportunity to shape an exciting phase of one of the world’s most respected media brands.

Key Responsibilities

Nurture and grow relationships within the planning, display and trade desk teams across your agency patch. There is also the opportunity to build relationships with clients on a direct basis.

Identify key Display and Programmatic accounts across the agency landscape

Work with the Partnership Sales Managers to seek display opportunities where we already have partnership relationships.

Work with the Programmatic Manager to convert OMP activity to PMP / PG deals where possible.

Identify and pitch to key clients off the back of our editorial calendar

Proactively seek new opportunities whilst also responding to incoming briefs by utilising leads

Ensure Time Out is front of mind in agencies, being physically present in their offices and leading on all display conversations/presentations.

Work closely with other internal departments including Partnership Sales and Adops.

Oversee the deliverables for booked campaigns, working with the team in order to meet challenging deadlines and meet client expectations.

Be present at Time Out brand events in support of live commercial campaigns.

Share market/client information internally to help the development of future business.

Skills

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in digital display sales within media owner or media agencies.

Industry knowledge and relationships; This person will be able to navigate the competitive landscape and leverage your insights for strategic advantage.

Must hold exsisting relationships with display and trade desk teams within the major agencies groups.

Able to establish and maintain influential relationships, especially within media agencies. This will be across all levels from Account Executive to Director.

Strategic Sales Approach: Your consultative sales skills will play a crucial role in delivering customized solutions that resonate with key clients' goals.

A history of exceeding KPI’s and targets

A very strong team player and naturally collaborative mindset.

Desire to be proactive, hunter, gatherer attitude

Ability to construct and pitch display and programmatic campaigns.

Ability to think outside the box and drive incremental revenue.

Demonstrates a good understanding of the client's business needs.

Has the ability to pitch discussions at the right level and possess good presentation skills

Proficient in Excel and Google Slides
