Person Specification - Graduate Speech & Language Support Mentor

  • Speech and Language/English graduate needed – 1st and 2.1 degrees are preferred
  • Aspirationsof becoming a Speech and Language therapist, or adjacent field
  • Previous experience welcomed but not essential

Job Description - Graduate Speech & Language Support Mentor

  • Graduate Speech & Language Support Mentor – Start date September 2024
  • As a Graduate Speech & Language Support Mentor – earn £465 to £540 per week
  • Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm
  • Work closely alongside educational psychologists/speech and language therapists
  • Established in-house training opportunities
  • Lambeth, South London – Accessible by public transport routes

As a Graduate Speech & Language Support Mentor, you will use both your educational background and vibrant personality to encourage engagement and positive progress for students with EHCPs and SLCN.

You will play a pivotal role in encouraging inclusivity in the school to ensure no child is left behind. In your role as Graduate Speech & Language Support Mentor, you will be joining an extremely welcoming and supportive team who will be keen to support you within the role, as well as with your future aspirations.

This position as a Graduate Speech & Language Support Mentor can be so much more than a job for now. It can be a steppingstone to a career for life. Whether you want to progress as a language and speech therapist in the future, or step into a career in teaching, experience in this position will set you up whatever lies ahead for you.
