As the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring every child receives the support they need to thrive academically and socially.

 

SENCo Role

·       Full Time

·       April 2024 Start

·       Temp to Perm Contract

·       Salary - Paid to Scale + SEN allowance and TLR

 

As the Primary SENCo, you will:

· Lead and Develop Strategies: Be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and evaluating effective strategies to support the learning and development of children with special educational needs.

·       Collaborate with Teachers: Work closely with classroom teachers to create inclusive learning environments and adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of our students.

·       Individualized Support Plans: Develop and oversee personalized support plans, ensuring they are tailored to each child's unique strengths and challenges.

·       Liaise with Parents: Foster strong partnerships with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their child's progress and offering guidance on how they can support their child's learning at home.

·       Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and support for staff to enhance their understanding of special educational needs, fostering a culture of inclusivity within the school community.

·       Inclusive Curriculum: Collaborate with curriculum coordinators to ensure our curriculum is accessible and adaptable to meet the diverse needs of all learners.

·       Monitoring and Evaluation: Regularly assess the impact of SEN provision, collecting and analysing data to make informed decisions and continuously improve support services.

·       SENCo Leadership Role: Assume a leadership role within the school, advocating for the rights of students with special educational needs and championing inclusive practices.
