Joining our friendly and hardworking team as a HGV CLASS 2 Driver, you'll be on the front line dealing with orders, deliveries and stock coming in and out of the business. As part of the branch team, you will play a vital role in our continued success, providing a first class service.

 What will I be doing?

You’ll be carrying out multi-drop deliveries of building materials from our branch to our local customers in a safe and professional manner. It’ll be your responsibility to ensure the vehicle is properly loaded, safe and in-line with road and transport legislation. 

The successful candidate will be safety focussed, ensuring work is completed in a safe and professional manner. Our drivers are passionate about what we do and delivering for our customers. We want like minded drivers to join our team with the same mindset and ambition.

* HIAB experience is desirable but not essential, training will be provide


 * Experience driving 26t lorries is also desirable.

 Who we are?

For this role you will be joining Steve's team at Newhaven Travis Perkins. This is a well established team with a competitive mindset, hungry for sales and staying in the top of their region. Joining this team you will be at the forefront of our business with this customer facing role. With a team of 18 and 1current HGV drivers, we are looking to take the branch to the next level by onboarding another HGV driver. They strive to make sure their service is the best in town. With local competition we are looking for somebody who can bring enthusiasm and drive to our team to make the branch complete. With our very close knit team and loyal customer base this would be the perfect opportunity for someone to get their foot in the door. Experience with multi drop driving would be advantageous, and HIAB experience is desirable.We also want someone with the right attitude towards our branch culture and safety
