Head of Hosting and Digital Workplace
Are you ready to lead a team at the forefront of IT infrastructure and digital transformation? LGC is seeking an experienced Head of Hosting and Digital Workplace to drive the evolution of our IT services across on-premise and cloud environments.
About the Role: As the Head of Hosting and Digital Workplace, you will lead a team of skilled solution engineers responsible for supporting and developing LGC’s IT infrastructure. You will play a pivotal role in defining our future hosting strategy, with a strong emphasis on cloud adoption and optimization.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and Manage: Guide a group providing final-line support for IT infrastructure, including cloud and on-premise services.
- Improve our approach to hosting and cloud services by planning and developing strategies that align with our business needs and technological advancements.
- Improve Operations: Drive automation through Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), adopt standard practices for FinOps, and establish robust governance for all IT services.
- Support Digital Transformation: Enhance our Digital Workplace with technologies like M365, Windows 10/11, Citrix, and Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Project Leadership: Collaborate on business projects requiring cloud services, from requirements gathering to solution design and implementation.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse IT infrastructure, demonstrating a mix of AWS, Azure, and on-premise Cisco Hyperflex environments.
- Ensure security, reliability, and compliance across all hosting services through effective governance and standard processes.
- Lead cloud cost management initiatives and help partners make informed decisions.
- Work with IT and business leaders to define and complete a long-term hosting strategy that addresses technical debt, compliance, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with our IT outsource partner to ensure seamless delivery of hosting, cloud, and workplace services.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
- Demonstrable experience in leading globally dispersed teams to deliver IT services and solutions.
- Extensive experience in cloud computing, including architecture, migration, and security.
- Strong expertise in cloud governance, strategy development, and FinOps.
- Familiarity with a wide range of technologies, including AWS, Azure, M365, Terraform, VMware, and Citrix.
- Superb communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior partners and inspire change.
- A proactive, collaborative leader who can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
