Our client is a family-run business who have built a lasting reputation as a people-centric, quality driven organisation achieving sustainable year-on-year growth. In response to new market and client demands, they are dedicated to expanding their operations and increasing annual turnover.
Our client is a leading provider of commercial flooring services, offering maintenance, refurbishment, and installation projects to a wide variety of clients, many of whom are large public sector entities. Their solutions include vinyl, laminate, wood, carpets, and carpet tiles.
They are committed to delivering exceptional results, on time and within budget, ensuring client satisfaction at every stage.
Are you the right person for the job?
- Previous contract management experience in commercial flooring or a related market sector
- CSCS Gold or Black card and SMSTS certification
- UK driver's licence
- Self-motivated, flexible, and proactive approach
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- In-depth knowledge of flooring materials, techniques, and trends
- Commitment to ongoing professional development (CPD)
- Proficient IT skills, including MS Office
What will your role look like?
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee commercial flooring projects from start to finish, ensuring they meet client specifications and expectations
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and maintain project cost plans
- Liaise with clients, attend pre-contract meetings, and conduct regular site visits for complex or large jobs
- Monitor and report on project progress, maintain up-to-date information and sign off timesheets and project completion for invoicing
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and KPIs
- Collaborate with sales consultants and clients to optimise project outcomes through value engineering
- Proactively manage on-site issues and snagging to ensure client satisfaction
- Monitor labour resource performance and health & safety compliance
Additional Duties:
- Conduct pre-start inspections and site measures/planning
- Complete and distribute RAMS, and attend site coordination meetings
- Manage procurement of materials
- Resource and manage competent labour, ensuring compliance with PPE and tool box talks
- Oversee QA processes
- Develop strong client relationships to secure new opportunities
