Were seeking a talented Senior Sous Chef with a passion for authentic Italian cuisine to join an established, family-run restaurant that has been serving beautiful Italian dishes for nearly three decades. Situated on the outskirts of London, this role offers the best of both worlds easy access to Central London (one hour to central) and the benefit of lower living costs.

Our client prides themselves on their fresh, hand-crafted pasta, superb Italian dishes, and a commitment to using high-quality ingredients. As Senior Sous Chef, you'll be a key player in ensuring the consistent delivery of excellent dishes while helping to evolve the menu with modern influences.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Taking charge of the kitchen in the Head Chefs absence, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Preparing and cooking classic and contemporary Italian dishes, including fresh pasta and traditional sauces.
  • Mentoring and training junior chefs, sharing your skills in Italian cooking.
  • Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
  • Assisting in menu development, introducing seasonal and creative ideas.

What Were Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef or Sous Chef in an Italian kitchen.
  • Strong knowledge of Italian cooking techniques, especially in creating handcrafted pasta
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a passion for training and developing junior chefs.
  • Ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Valid passport and eligibility to work in the UK.
