We are seeking an immediate Graduate Engineer to join our Structures team based within our Cambridge office.

You will work with the support of senior colleagues on flagship and regionally significant schemes across our large portfolio of clients. You will be involved with the production of designs, drawings, calculations, specifications and technical reports. You will be given the opportunity to work towards professional qualification with the Institute of Structural Engineers (IStructE) or the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).

This post will offer the successful applicant an interesting, challenging and varied workload as well as allowing them to develop personally and professionally as an Engineer.

Key Duties:

Delivery of fully coordinated structural designs on a wide variety of projects, alongside members of structures teams locally and nationally. Liaison with statutory authorities, architects, design teams and contractors Develop skills in the use of the latest design software e.g. Tekla Structural Designer and Revit Assist in design reviews and verification checks Undertake site visits and surveys

Qualifications/Skills required:

Minimum 2:1 degree in the field of Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng or MEng) with experience in structural design Previous technical / industry experience advantageous Commitment to achieving chartered status with IStructE / ICE Excellent written and verbal communication skills Computer literate, with knowledge of design and analysis programmes. Have a desire to work constructively in a team, finding holistic design solutions Have experience of working with Eurocodes and British Standards. Have an understanding of the CDM Regulations and designers’ responsibilities. Have good analytical skills Have the ability to work in a team environment Have an interest in good Architecture
