We require Skilled Wire Persons to join our busy Interconnect department, based at our site in Abercynon South Wales.
As a Skilled Wire Person, you will work independantly to produce our products and electronic assemblies as well as providing support and advice to trainees and semi skilled colleagues in your team. You will have the ability , skills and experience the support the production team in multiple areas within our site and contribute to our continuous growth and improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Independantly assemble cables, harnesses and other TT Electronics products on time and to the desired standard. Offer advice and support to less experienced colleagues and act as a 'buddy' to new starters in your team. In line with TT Electronics standard operating procedures, demonstrate advanced skilled in crimping, soldering, measuring materials and electronics assembly and be fully competent in using data packs including bills of material, engineering specifications and technical drawings. Accurately record details of the assembly you are working on in our internal computer system and on paper documents. Provide suggestions and ideas to your Team Leader and Production Manager on ways to streamline production processes, with a focus on continuous improvement. Keep your workspace and floor area clean and tidy and take care of assembly parts. Continuously develop your skills by completing online and classroom-based training and maintain your internationally recognised certifications, IPC620. Complete our online safety training, take care of your own health and safety on site and contributing towards a safe working environment for your team members.

IPC620 certified. Has significant experience in a similar organisation within our industry and you can demonstrate your advanced assembly skills during a short trade test. Our Recruitment Process
Initally we will reach out to you for an informal conversation about the role. This will allow you the opportunity to ask questions and find out more about TT, our site and our team. It will also give us the chance to learn more about you and your experience to date. At this point both parties have the opportunity to decide if they would like to continue with the process.
Formal interviews will be held on site and include a tour of the facility.
Due to specific projects TT Electronics Abercynon supports, we are unable to sponsor work vias for this role. Candidates will be required to achieve Baseline Personal Secrurity Standard clearance and hold UK or US Citizenship.
Successful candidates will be required to undertake pre and during employment drug and alcohol testing.
