We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for animals to join us as a Veterinary Head Receptionist at Battle Flatts Veterinary Clinic.
Location: Across our 4 sites; Stamford Bridge, Pocklington, Norton and Strensall
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday (4 day week an option) with a share in the Saturday rota

About the role:
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Managing the Receptionist team, including training and providing support and guidance Leading team meetings and undertaking 1-2-1's Creating and managing the team rota, including managing holiday requests and absences Assisting the Practice Manager will end of day till reconciliation and banking Working closely with the practice management team and clinical team Supporting with Recruitment and liaising with the internal recruitment teamAdditional Day-to-day duties of the role will include:
Answering phones and booking appointments Responding to queries via phone, in person and email Registering new clients Completing insurance forms Dispensing medications Taking payments And most importantly; providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practiceWhat we're looking for in our Veterinary Head Receptionist:
Previous Receptionist experience is essential , veterinary experience is a plus Leadership skills and previous experience managing a team preferred The ability and flexibility to travel between sites An excellent communicator with strong empathy Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systemsWhat we can offer you:
