Rotating Equipment Engineers

KBR’s global business comprises two main segments – Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) and Government Solutions (GS). This role sits within STS in the Integrated Solutions business unit. Integrated Solutions is the engineering and project delivery group providing services which include front-end and detailed engineering, procurement, construction services, and program management primarily in the hydrocarbons and energy transition industries.

The role of a rotating machinery engineer is highly valued within KBR and involves extensive interface with the client, project management, suppliers, corporate management, and the global team of mechanical engineers employed throughout KBR’s worldwide offices.

The required competency and skills would typically have been built up working for a consultant engineering company, machinery manufacturer, or end user company. Personnel would be expected to have a varied and extensive experience of rotating machinery applications in refinery and gas processing service to include concept, front end engineering design and detailed design. 

A specialist and detailed knowledge of the major machinery types such as centrifugal, axial and reciprocating compressors, pumps, and gas/steam turbines will be required. A working knowledge of API industry standards for machinery is required.

Job success will depend on interpersonal skills and the effective interaction with others. Selected personnel will be highly competent in written and spoken communication and therefore be able to make effective presentations, and write technical documentation
