Job Description

Chy is a residential rehabilitation centre. The service provides a 12 week residential programme for people who have completed a detox. There are 18 beds in the main house with 6 move on flats, housing up to 8 people who have completed the programme but feel they need more support.

Our recovery programme is tailor-made for each person to include a range of therapeutic options. They can live within a recovery community and benefit from peer support, trauma informed interventions, group work, one-to-one and assignment.

Team Leaders at WithYou have a solution focussed attitude, are professional, resilient and dynamic. A vacancy has arisen for a Team Leader based at our Chy Residential Rehab project in Truro, working as part of a successful management team.

The successful applicant will have a positive approach to working in a dynamic environment with a commitment to providing meaningful services to those who present to our service.

The Team Leader at Chy works alongside the Service Manager, offering line management to counsellors and support workers at the project. There is an expectation that the team leader will participate in delivering the group work programme and hold a small caseload.

We would welcome applications from people have completed a BACP accredited counselling course, trained as a social worker or have a therapeutic background.

Should you be successful in your application, you will be required to provide 3 years' worth of references and where applicable, will need to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Required Skills

To carry out this role effectively, you will:

Demonstrable experience of working in the health, social care or substance use setting Experience of working with a range of statutory and voluntary sector services Successful track record of management responsibility and development of others An understanding of the issues facing drug/alcohol misusers or clients experiencing common mental health problems (as appropriate) Knowledge/understanding of health and safety, including assessing high-risk situations for clients Resilient, ability to prioritise, work under pressure, and manage competing / conflicting demands Ability to work effectively as a team player in a collaborative and supportive manner Be results driven and possess analytical skills
