Location - Duchy Hospital - Cornwall

Services that Duchy offers include elective surgery including orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, plastics, gynaecology and ophthalmology delivered through our 4 operating theatres - all with laminar flow. We also have an Ambulatory Care Unit and Inpatient ward. In addition, we also provide busy outpatient, physiotherapy and cardiology service including cardiac cath lab.
Reception Team Leader Responsibilities:
- Providing an efficient front of house service excelling in customer service as the first point of call for all hospital visitors.- Leading team in ensuring all required Patient information in obtained in sufficient time for arrival, i.e. online registration forms and medical questionnaires- Registering outpatient appointment arrivals on PAS- Registering radiology appointments on RIS/PACS- Managing petty cash- Emergency phone, paging system- Visitors/contractors sign in via intellicentrics- Ensuring payments and revenue captured and banked- Ensuring patient record is maintained with appropriate financial class- Processing incoming/outgoing mail- Presenting Physio and inpatient appointments- Managing the hospital telephone system, ensuring all calls are answered in agreed timescales and directed accordingly.- Ensure each patient has completed the required patient information form prior to each visit and that this information is updated onto PAS within 24 hours of receipt.
Measurable Outcomes:
- All telephone calls answered within six rings- Results of consultant and GP survey’s improved year on year- All relevant visits arrived
