Look no further, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 5 position within the specialist Cardiology ward; Level 10 Albion and Lewes.
L10 is a busy fast paced 31 bedded ward supporting patients with various cardiac conditions including patients pre and post cardiac procedures, patients with arrhythmias and heart failure. Successful candidates will receive full support by the wards educational practitioner and trusts preceptorship programme.
We are looking for individuals with a keen interest in cardiology and looking to expand and progress their nursing practice.
Main duties of the job
The post would suit dynamic individuals looking to further their knowledge in cardiology. Benefiting from the cardiac centres in house 'introduction to cardiology course' progressing to university cardiology modules.

Job description
Job responsibilities
Provide high quality evidence based clinical care to patients with complex cardiac needs, in line with the Trust values and in accordance with professional regulations. Work with others to protect and promote the health and wellbeing of those in your care, their families and carers, and the wider community. To work in line with Trust policies, objectives, protocols and local guidelines. To act as a role model communicating in line with Trust values to patients, carers and the staff at all times. Accept delegated responsibility for specific activities/areas from the senior nurse in charge, recognising and working within the limits of your competence. Take every opportunity to continue to maintain and develop your own practice. Facilitate students and others to develop their competence through supervision, teaching and role modelling.
