Macclesfield Primary Care Network is an innovative andfriendly PCN that is looking for a Newly Qualified Salaried GeneralPractitioner (ARRS funded) to enhance the team, and the quality of our patientcare.
Following the release of ARRS GP information and funding weare looking for a newly qualified (within 2 yrs and not having had asubstantive post), enthusiastic, forward-thinking GP to join us at Waters GreenMedical Centre. The role we are offering provides an exciting opportunity tosupport acute care of our patients in Macclesfield. The post-holder will work alongside our community teams to provide acute visits to houseboundpatients on behalf of the practices. The other aspect of the post would be towork in our Macclesfield Acute Care Service seeing acutely unwell patientsalongside our wider MDT and practices. This post is on a fixed term salariedcontract until 31 March 2025.
The contract will be based on the BMA contract, with 6 weeksannual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata) and one week study leave (pro rata).

Main duties of the job
Recording clear and contemporaneous basedconsultation notes using EMIS Web.
Provide safe, evidence-based, cost-effective,individualised patient care within the surgery or patients own home.
Clinically examine and assess patient needs froma physiological and psychological perspective, and plan clinical careaccordingly referring patients to other services/agencies in a timely manner.
To recognise the need for and be able to performand interpret investigatory procedures, including laboratory and radiology.
Prioritise health problems and interveneappropriately to assist the patient in complex, urgent or emergency situations,including initiation of effective emergency care.
Ensure appropriate follow up of patients.
Support patients to adopt health promotionstrategies that promote healthy lifestyles and apply principles of self-care.
Support the delivery of anticipatory care plans.
Independently prescribe for patients within yourscope of practice, in accordance with locally agreed or nationalguidelines.
Compiling and issuing computer-generated acuteand repeat prescriptions.
Review medications following the appropriatepolicies, NICE/local clinical guidelines and local care pathways.
Awareness of and compliance with all relevantpractice policies/guidelines.
Be aware of your duties and responsibilitiesregarding current legislation and adhere to our policies and procedures onSafeguarding Children and Safeguarding Adults.
