We have an exciting opportunity to join the Online Peer Review Systems Services unit, providing first class technical support and guidance to meet the needs of our users in a rapidly changing publishing landscape.

About the roles 

As our next Systems Support, you will assist the Systems Owner as well as being a crucial member of the Online Peer Review Systems Services Unit. You will assist in the delivery of key business and publishing objectives by implementing best practice and data strategy initiatives; apply system improvements, standardisations, and integrations to Academic publishing infrastructure; document and record-keep existing and new data points.

You will be provided with on-going training on systems use, open access and the changing landscape in publishing.

About you

You are a technically-minded, well-organised individual with a passion for data management and accuracy, with excellent communication and IT skills, painstaking attention to detail. You are able to interact and communicate with senior colleagues and external stakeholders ( journal editors, society staff) with confidence, including judging the most appropriate style of communication as needed. You thrive when bringing out the best in people and systems.

Knowledge of publishing and systems, such as ScholarOne and Editorial Manager and/or experience in providing technical support would be highly beneficial, although full training will be given if required.

You are confident in prioritizing your own workload appropriately and multi-tasking in order to meet tight, competing deadlines. You use your initiative, working autonomously wherever appropriate.

You are aiming to build on an existing understanding of academic journals publishing and progress your career.
