Radiography Assistant Practitioner

Location: Duchy Hospital, Cornwall

Hours: 30 hours per week, Full-time

Salary: Depending on experience + Benefits

Summary:


Duchy Hospital is Cornwall's only private hospital with an excellent reputation for delivering high quality healthcare treatments and services. Duchy Hospital was opened in 1981 by the late HRH Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and is located in a pleasant rural setting on the outskirts of Truro.

By investing in advanced medical technology, the hospital offers a wide range of treatments and services. The two fully equipped ultra clean air theatres are particularly suitable for orthopaedic procedures such as arthroscopy, hip replacement and knee replacements. The hospital is also equipped with a day case theatre, with endoscopy facilities.

A wide range of diagnostic and treatment facilities are available including x-ray, MRI, ultrasound, physiotherapy, sports injury clinic, continence and health screening.

The role:

The role of the Assistant Practitioner is to carry out X-Ray examinations, as required by the department, under the supervision of a Radiographer within a defined scope of practice.

The post holder will participate in a system that involves working over a 7 day week, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays. The hours of the role must be flexible and will include compressed working hours to appreciate and satisfy the needs and demand of the service

What you will bring with you:

SCoR approved certificate of Higher Education (or equivalent) in Radiography Sound written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required Flexibility and adaptabilityto meet the changing needs of the business Demonstrated Customer Service skills Demonstrated Computer Skills and RIS PACs experience Understand the implications of the Data Protection Act, Caldicott Principles and GDPR Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and within a team structure
