**One Women’s Centre Pilot**

The Women’s Centre Cornwall (TWCC) is run by women, for women, and aims to empower and enable all women and girls to gain the health and well-being and confidence and skills to achieve their potential and become stronger and more independent.

The One Women’s Centre (OWC) Pilot is an exciting project that aims to support females leaving HMP Eastwood Park who are returning or relocating to the Southwest of England and Wales. The Nelson Trust is the lead project partner collaborating with HMP Eastwood Park, PACT, POBL, The Wallich, CGL, Safer Wales and Peninsula Women’s Alliance (TWCC, Trevi and Colab. This exciting project will deliver transformative services and interventions, enabling continuity of support between prison and community services to reduce reoffending.

**Women’s Safety Practitioner**

**Purpose**

To provide holistic support for women released to various locations within Cornwall / Dorset from HMP Eastwood Park

As a Keyworker you will offer gender-responsive, trauma informed practical and emotional support and interventions to address needs with housing, substance misuse, health, finance, previous trauma, children & families and education, training and employment with the aim of reducing social harms and re-offending whilst empowering women to access opportunities to reach their full potential.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Case Management**
- Hold a caseload of women accessing the service released from HMP Eastwood ParkWork in collaboration with referring organisations including the Probation Service and HMP Eastwood Park
- Provide 1:1 practical and emotional support to women, including assessing and managing risks of domestic abuse or exploitation.
- Facilitate group interventions for women as agreed
- Provide assertive outreach services to increase accessibility and engagement
- Undertake a comprehensive assessment with each woman to identify needs to produce a collaborative strength-based action plan
- Work collaboratively with women based on individual need with the aim of increasing life opportunities and promoting personal change
- Work with partner organisations and assist women to access support services in response to need
- Attend multi-agency meetings where appropriate and to act as an advocate within prescribed protocols
- Attend Family and/or Criminal court when necessary

**Service Delivery and Development**
- Work closely with the TWCC Prison Link Worker in HMP Eastwood Park to co-ordinate support for women leaving the prison
- To contribute to developing relationships between our partner organisations
- To contribute to maintaining up to date knowledge of services available and communicate this to women and professionals
- To develop and maintain positive and mutually supportive stakeholder and networking relationships particularly with: HMP Eastwood Park, Probation Service, housing providers, Social Services, substance misuse and health services
- To adopt a support co-ordination approach, communicating and keeping all relevant parties informed of any issues, concerns and successes with particular attention to risk
- To work with the One Women’s Centre team and the TWCC Open Team to ensure the service delivers and maintains excellent standards.
