If you are passionate about making a real difference to the lives of young people who have special educational needs, then we have the perfect job for you We are on the lookout for a resilient and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to work at our SEN school in Exeter. As an LSA, you will be working closely with students with a variety of learning difficulties alongside additional needs including autism and ADHD.

About the role
You will be supporting the classroom teacher in managing the class and engaging students in their learning. You will be responsible for helping to ensure all lesson materials are prepared and the classroom is a vibrant and enjoyable environment to be in. You may be asked to supervise and support small groups of students with interventions such as reading. Above all else, you will build meaningful and long-lasting relationships to help students thrive both academically, socially and emotionally.
About you
- Experience working with children with special educational needs
- Strong knowledge and understanding of strategies to support young people with both their studies and wellbeing
- Understanding of additional needs including autism and ADHD
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Able to drive and have access to your own car
