The Opportunity 

As part of our continued global growth and development, we are looking for an experienced Internal Manufacturing Operations Director to oversee our global network of manufacturing facilities. 

Reporting to the Group Manufacturing & Supply Director, the successful candidate will be tasked with ensuring efficient, compliant, on time and cost-effective delivery of products from Dechra's manufacturing sites to our customers.

Leading our team of Site Directors, the Internal Manufacturing Operations Director will also work to ensure alignment to the wider Dechra strategy to support commercialisation and value creation.

** Please Note - This role can be based remotely within the UK, Europe or North America but will involve significant global travel **

Role Responsibility

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

Ensure all Dechra sites have routines and processes in place to mitigate risks to our employees, customer and wider business Translating the Dechra Manufacturing & Supply Chain strategy into the Internal Network Business Plan Work closely with the Director of Transformation to input on viability of change projects to ensure they are set up for effective and sustainable implementation within the sites Maintaining balance between operational delivery and execution of transformation projects (and crisis management when appropriate) Achieving and maintaining relevant regulatory body accreditation, anticipate new requirements and propose related strategies to ensure fit for purpose Build a collaborative team culture with Site Directors and their people to encourage knowledge sharing and cross functional working Act as an escalation point in crisis management situations Balancing the needs of the network with those of the wider Manufacturing & Supply division and other business divisions Deliver improving performance in the key KPIs (People, Safety, Quality, Supply and Cost) Leading and owning the annual budgeting process for the internal manufacturing sites Accountable for processes and compliance including risk management, corporate governance, financial rigor, quality processes, business planning and site strategy Drive Engineering, EHS and Opex initiatives within the manufacturing sites Work with the MS&T director and Transformation Director in optimising our network of manufacturers (Internal and External)
