**The Opportunity**

***You will have responsibility for the food manufacturing plants within the business covering all aspects of people, process and product. You will provide inspirational leadership, support and guidance in driving continues improvements across operations capability, efficiency and sustainability in line with our key performance metrics.

**What you will contribute**
- Deliver the Manufacturing / Operations strategy, ensuring this is clearly understood and ‘owned’ by the Manufacturing and Operations team.
- Planned approach to improving Health & safety standards with a focus on behavioural safety.
- Work at a strategic level to deliver excellence within the Factory, meeting challenging KPI’s: Safety, Quality, Service, OEE, Yield, On-Time-In-Full (OTIF), mandatory compliance etc.
- Working with Operational peers to deliver excellence in customer service including the highest technical accreditations.
- Accountable for driving a culture of continuous improvement and LEAN principles to deliver performance.
- Representing and demonstrating FRS values in everyday work and developing strong collaborative relationships with Commercial and Finance - ‘one team’ approach
- Contribute to the IBP process to manage customer service, plant efficiency and labour balancing.
- Ability to project manage key business improvement initiatives and control manufacturing spend to ensure all costs are aligned with agreed budgets.
- Provide Inspirational leadership, coaching and ongoing development of staff to ensure a healthy succession plan and high levels of motivation and engagement across Operations.

**What you will bring**
- Previous experience of leading a multisite manufacturing team within a FMCG environment (Ideally within bakery food production)
- Strong understanding of technical concepts, analytical skills, and attention to detail, to include comprehensive understanding of legislative audits e.g., BRC.
- Good understanding of operational P&L and capital investment
- Demonstrable experience of leading change and implementing modern manufacturing methodologies and systems/continuous improvement, lean management practices
- Experience of working within a multi-customer supply chain
- To have delivered exceptional health and safety performance and cultural safety programmes
- Experience of working with all operational functions within an organisation e.g., planning, logistics, technical, engineering, NPD
- Excellent project management skills, time management and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, specifically proactive communication with a clear sense of ownership and determination to deliver beyond expectations.
