Job Description

Join Our Team as a Honey Process Operative

Are you passionate about quality, sustainability, and the sweet world of honey? We have an exciting opportunity for you to become a vital part of our honey production team

The purpose of this role is to ensure that honey is processed to the packaging lines in specification and on time. The successful candidate will keep a high standard of GMP in all areas, ensure that Health & Safety is maintained at all times and monitor, and strive to improve, honey yields.

Key Responsibilities

  • Picking honey recipes.
  • Loading and unloading hot rooms.
  • Ensuring that all the honey is loaded into the cabinets and pumped as per the daily plan.
  • Following standard operating procedures, work instructions and escalation processes for raw materials and component parts with regards to quality defects.
  • Maintaining hygiene and housekeeping standards maximising GMP and Bio Security standards within the cabinet, hot rooms, storage areas and all pumping areas.
  • Wearing correct protective clothing and equipment at all times.
  • Owning and making recommendations for continuous improvement within the department.
  • Carrying out any other reasonable supervisory or managerial request.

Qualifications

Key skills/Competencies

  • Forklift licence (Counterbalance, grabs trained) – desirable
  • Driving licence - essential
  • Numeracy/data accuracy
  • Interpersonal skills, liaising with internal and external teams
  • Detail oriented

  • Communication Skills – written and verbal

  • Ability to react effectively to short-notice change, integrating the needs of all departments
