As a Computer Science Teacher, you'll play a pivotal role in preparing students for the digital age. From teaching foundational computing principles to advanced programming and systems design, you’ll equip learners with the skills they need to succeed in this fast-evolving field.

 Key Responsibilities for the Computer Science Teacher role:
  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5, fostering a deep understanding of Computer Science.
  • Encourage problem-solving and analytical thinking through teaching coding, computational thinking, and real-world applications.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, offering personalised feedback and interventions to help each learner reach their potential.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technological advancements and collaborate with colleagues to ensure a modern and relevant curriculum.
The successful Computer Science Teacher must:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in Computer Science or ICT.
  • Be a Passionate Technologist: Have a deep understanding of computing principles, programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or C++), and emerging technologies.
  • Be a Strong Communicator: Ability to break down complex concepts into accessible and engaging content.
  • Be a Dedicated Educator: Committed to supporting students’ growth both academically and personally.
  • Be a Team Player: Work collaboratively within a supportive department and contribute to the school’s innovative ethos.
