Main duties of the job

NHS Dorset Integrated CareBoard is responsible for planning, allocating resources and providing systemleadership to meet these four key aims and central to doing so is having seniorexperienced clinical leadership.

The Clinical Lead for HealthInequalities, Prevention and Population Health Management will be a key memberof the senior clinical leadership team of the ICB and will have the followingcore responsibilities:

Contribute senior clinical experience to the keyprogrammes of work defined within your portfolio and aligned to ICB priorities. Work in close partnership with management and executivecolleagues. Act as an ambassador for NHS Dorset and the wider ICS,including where appropriate, engaging with media and local stakeholders. Work collectively with other ICB Clinical Leads to ensureexperienced multidisciplinary clinical input in all key programmes of work. Work closely with the Chief Medical Officer to provideclinical input into the ICB strategy and prioritisation.

Job responsibilities

Work closely with the Chief Medical Officer toprovide clinical input into the ICB strategy and prioritisation. Promote a whole pathway approach to care, includingprevention and reduction of health inequalities. Promote data driven, evidence-based decision makingwithin the ICB. Work with provider clinical leads to drive serviceimprovement and transformation. Promotebest practice, applying benchmarking tools and learning from elsewhere to driveimprovements. Link withnational, regional colleagues, networks and alliances where appropriate. Linkwith the AHSN, Wessex Health Partners and local academic organisations tosupport innovation and research relevant to area of responsibility. Rolemodel expected behaviours of senior leaders, upholding the Nolan principles, promotingcollaboration, integration and open and transparent decision making.
