It has 1,024 beds, a 24-hour acute admissions unit and an emergency department which houses the major trauma centre (adult and children) for Durham, East Cleveland, Tees Valley and North Yorkshire and has its own floodlit helipad. In 2012, The James Cook University Hospital completed a £35 million redevelopment of its cancer services and is now proud to provide some of the best facilities in Europe. The James Cook University Hospital has a modern, central operating suite containing 20 well-equipped theatres and a 16-bedded intensive care unit.
The Friarage Hospital in Northallerton is an essential part of our organisation and an important point of delivery for the community.
