About the Role: We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Retail Assistant to join our team in Bristol. As a Retail Assistant, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service, maintaining store presentation, and supporting daily operations. Your contributions will help ensure a positive shopping experience for our customers and assist in achieving store goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner, addressing their needs and providing product information.
  • Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system, including handling cash, credit, and debit card payments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment by arranging merchandise, managing displays, and ensuring stock is replenished.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, including receiving and unpacking shipments, organizing stockroom items, and conducting stock counts.
  • Provide support during promotional events and sales activities, setting up displays, updating signage, and engaging with customers.
  • Handle customer inquiries, returns, and exchanges in accordance with store policies, aiming to resolve issues and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and report any store maintenance issues or stock discrepancies to management.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and a cohesive working environment.
  • Participate in training sessions and team meetings to stay informed about new products, company policies, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in retail management is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings.
  • A positive attitude, enthusiasm for retail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
