Job Title: Care Support Worker - Learning and Disabilities

Trust: Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust

Location: Princess of Wales Hospital - Church View , Osbourne Court , Malver N

Pay Rate: £ - £ Per Hour

Shifts Pattern: 07:00 am - 14:30 pm

14:00 pm 21:30 pm

RN 21:15 pm - 07:15 am

Assessing and monitoring patient conditions Checking symptoms and vital signs and arranging diagnostic tests Displaying excellent analytical ability and sound decision making in changing clinical situations Working as an effective team member and promoting team and interdisciplinary relationships

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.

What you'll need:

A minimum of 6 months paid experience in a learning and disability hospital environment within the last 3 years Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices

*Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.

Experience of working in a Mental Health or Learning Disabilities environment Previous NHS Experience

Qualifications

Essential

All Care support worker roles will be required to provide evidence of completing the Care Certificate or a relevant qualification. Evidence accepted includes: Student Nurse with at least 12 weeks clinical placements. Care Certificate from an NHS Organisation QCF Level 2 Diploma in Healthcare Support Services issued after 2011 QCF Level 2 OR above Diploma in Health & Social Care or Clinical Healthcare Support issued after 2011 QCF Level 3 OR above Diploma in Healthcare Support or Maternity & Paediatric Support issued after 2011 (For Paediatric & Maternity roles only) Degree /Diploma in Nursing and currently do not have an NMC Registration.

Desirable

MAPA or Safety Intervention training Advanced and Emergency Desirable however if you do not hold this training will be provided. Once 10 shifts have been complete we will pay you for the training days.
