Job summary

Are you an Administrator looking for a new, exciting roleit a new Team Administrator to provide a highly valued service to the Adult Mental Health Team.

The AMHT team is dedicated to supporting Doctors and other medical staff who provide support to Adults of working age experiencing Mental Health issues. This role can be demanding, challenging and requires skill to handle all contacts with confidence, compassion, patience and professionalism. We rely upon robust administrative support to run a safe, excellent, and caring service to our patients.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for someone who has a good standard of administrative and IT skills, organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities within a challenging and demanding environment.

We need you to have excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills and work effectively as part of a team, whilst also have the ability to work independently with a good understanding of information security and confidentiality.

Job responsibilities

This is a varied role and you will play a vital role within the team, being first point of contact for our patients and providing administrative support for the clinicians across the team. You key responsibilities will include:

To work autonomously, making independent decisions and organising ownworkflow.

To deal with face-to-face enquiries and telephone calls/emails from patients, relatives, staff, and other professionals, promptly and sensitively, making autonomous decisions to signpost to appropriate clinician or alternative service, ensuring messages are dealt with or passed on quickly andefficiently.

To work closely with team members, providing a flexible service and being willing to assist staff with a variety of development work as and whenrequired.

Excellent word processing skills and experience of full range of Windows software. Able to create databases and spread sheets/presentations. Able to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines and prioritise workload in a challenging and demanding environment.
