What will the role involve?
You’ll be building a community of readers online and in real life so your stories are shared across social media and word of mouth whilst being the face of our Liverpool FC coverage online and in the community.
You will be able to tell stories in many different ways including news stories, interviews, features and real-time live blogs (especially around matches and fan Q&A opportunities).
Qualifications
Who are we looking for?
- An experienced journalist with your NCTJ or equivalent qualification and media law knowledge
- Excellent knowledge of football, Liverpool Football Club, Premier League and the Champions League with good experience of covering a professional club
- A passion for digital storytelling in football journalism
- An analytical eye and an ability to switch between delivering breaking news to fuller and detailed long-read features and tactical pieces
- A strong people person who can develop and build contacts and knows the right questions to ask to get the best stories
- A creative individual who can deliver constant flow of story ideas
- Strong digital publishing skills including working a CMS, shooting video, taking pictures
- Full clean driving licence preferable but not essential
